Synova is a Private Equity company, working out of New York and London.

Their new website is part of an ambitious re-branding project that seeks to capture their pioneering spirit and uniquely personal approach to business.

The copy had to speak to both investors and the founders/managers of prospective portfolio companies, outlining the value offered to both.

Finding personality

Injecting personality in a professional setting is always a challenge. This required a degree of boldness from the client, as they had to be willing to open up about their journey, and what brought them to where they are today.

The Why, as well as the How

Perfecting a company story, or About Us page, is all about the bigger picture. Readers don't want a biography just for the sake of it. This part of the website is supposed to give an insight into why you do something, and what impact that has on the finished product.

It's all sales, at the end of the day.

Nailing the messaging

Copywriting isn't just about stringing words together and finding a voice. It's also a matter of messaging – what do you want to say, and to whom?

I worked closely with Synova to hone their messaging, and to identify some central concepts, which would be easy to communicate in the space we had.

As ever, the messaging extended beyond the words – incorporating visual elements to build a strong finished product.

Stamp of approval

The website design has been such a success, it is being considered for a number of industry awards, so watch this space.
